Lion & Safari Park, Johannesburg

I went to the Lion & Safari Park on one of my first ever trips to JNB back in January.  I was in two minds about whether I should write this post or not, the safari aspect was fine it seemed a bit basic but it wasn’t expensive so I wasn’t expecting much. The lion cub interaction however, I really did not like one bit, it is painfully obvious that they have been drugged and it just left me with a horrible taste in my mouth, Continue reading

Almost There!

I thought I would pop a quick post up while I’m sat in the airport waiting for my flight to Heathrow. I am so glad that I decided to go down today instead of tomorrow, I think I would have felt pretty stressed out going down the night before, worrying about getting there etc. Going today means that tomorrow I can take the day to get settled into my accommodation, get some groceries and read over my notes for training. Fit to Fly & An Update

I set off at 6:30am yesterday to go for my uniform fitting and medical, unfortunately I wasn’t able to get them on the same day so I had to stay overnight in a hotel. I stayed at the Travelodge Terminal 5, it was my first time in a Travelodge and it honestly makes Holiday Inn look like the Ritz in comparison! Referencing and Background Checks

Almost two weeks after getting the provisional offer of employment I have finally gotten the email to say that they are going to start doing my background checks. Yay! It is finally starting to feel real now! The airline themselves don’t do the background checks, mine will be done by SterlingBackcheck, but I think there is another company that do the checks too.

What To Wear To A Cabin Crew Assessment Day

One of the things I was really worried about before my cabin crew assessment day was, what should I wear!? In the email you are advised to wear ‘smart attire’ but that can mean different things to different people. What if the recruitment team didn’t think I looked smart enough!

Females definitely have a lot to think about when it comes to dressing to impress at a cabin crew assessment day. How should I style my hair? Red lipstick or no red lipstick? Continue reading

Cabin Crew Assessment Day Tips

I thought I would give a few tips to help you in your quest to become cabin crew. I have only went through the application and assessment day process once so I don’t claim to be an expert, but I only attended the one assessment day and was successful so I must have been doing something right 🙂 Continue reading

Becoming Cabin Crew: My Cabin Crew Recruitment Process From Start To Finish

The cabin crew recruitment process is one that for me, felt like it took forever, when in actual fact at five weeks from submitting my application to receiving the congratulations email it probably wasn’t that long at all. Especially when compared to the Emirates process which can take months.
